Recently, a two-day in-person training camp for tax-focused lawyers, co-led by Wu Libin and Shi Zhiqun, was successfully held in Beijing. The program was jointly organized by M&T Lawyers and Wusong, featuring immersive lectures, case breakdowns, and practical experience-sharing sessions. It targeted practicing lawyers and in-house counsels nationwide, aiming to enhance their capabilities in law-tax integration and provide a systematic overview of the full-process practical essentials in tax legal services.

Set against the backdrop of normalized Golden Tax IV supervision and the growing demand for high-end tax practices among lawyers, Wu and Shi—each with nearly two decades of frontline tax legal experience—shared insights drawn from numerous real cases. The curriculum balanced theoretical frameworks with actionable guidance, covering: (1) Golden Tax IV's big-data supervision logic, compliance risk controls across invoices, fund flows, and contracts, as well as tax risk mapping and planning for common commercial transactions such as M&A, equity incentives, and cross-border investments; (2) practical approaches to handling tax audit receptions, administrative reconsideration, and administrative/criminal tax dispute representation; and (3) detailed guidance on tax incentives for high-tech enterprises, SME tax management, and HNWI individual tax and wealth succession compliance.
In addition, the two lawyers shared their own practice experience on building a specialized tax law profile, developing corporate tax advisory products, and effectively expanding high-end client sources. They also provided a range of practical templates and typical judicial case materials, enabling participants to quickly translate the learning into their daily work.
The training atmosphere was highly engaged, with attendees actively discussing complex tax issues encountered in their practices. The camp not only filled knowledge gaps in fiscal and tax matters for many legal practitioners but also created a platform for lawyers to explore differentiated career paths. Going forward, both lawyers will continue to deepen their work in tax legal services and offer diversified professional sharing opportunities to help peers steadily advance in the emerging field of law-tax integration.
